It’s that time of the year when the weather is cooling down and we dust off our running shoes to start training and signing up for competitive runs and marathons.

Towoomba QLD - The SDRQ Tails & Trails Series: 5km / 10km Fun Run

A group for those that enjoy sharing the trails with their dog companions.
Tails and Trails is an event series hosted by Sled Dog Racing Queensland Inc. offering strictly Dog friendly (in fact dog required!) trail running and riding events.
Port Macquarie NSW - Trails And Tails

This is a 7km course around the beautiful Cairncross State Forest on the door step of the Telegraph Point village near Port Macquarie. The course is filled with lots of hidden secrets for you to find and have fun with.

Glenoma Park, Brinsmead
A fun walk/run for you and your dog as a a fundraising event for YAPS, the Young Animal Protection Society. Most will walk/run from Glenoma Park to Goomboora Park, and give the dogs a swim in the creek.
To prepare your dog for long run, do some training in advance, start with short runs and then increase the distance gradually. Always get your vet's approval before starting a running routine with your dog. Dogs should not start a running program until they are at least 18 months old.
