Built-in Tether Strap vs. Car Restraint
The Car Seat comes with a built-in adjustable tether strap sewn inside the seat. This clips directly to your dog’s harness to keep them restrained while travelling. The separate DOOG Car Restraint (sold individually) is a more secure option, as you can attach your dog directly to the seatbelt buckle. Many customers choose to add our DOOG restraint to their order, as it is a safer, more secure option.

We recommend purchasing the Travel in Style Bundle, which includes a DOOG Car Seat, Harness and Car Restraint for added safety.

Disclaimer: This Car Seat is not crash-tested. For maximum protection, consider a certified crash-tested travel crate. The Small to Medium Car Seat is suitable for installation in both rear and front passenger seats of most vehicles. However, in vehicles fitted with passenger-side airbags, use in the front seat may pose a safety risk to your pet. For optimal safety, DOOG recommends installing the car seat in the rear passenger seat and ensuring your pet is properly secured at all times while the vehicle is in motion.

How to Use the DOOG Dog Car Seat

1. Place the Car Seat in Your Vehicle
Position the DOOG Dog Car Seat on either the back seat or front passenger seat of your car.

2. Secure the Car Seat
Clip and tighten the strap at the base of the Car Seat around the back and base of your vehicle's seat. Then, clip and tighten the upper strap around the vehicle's headrest for extra stability.

3. Attach the Restraint
Pop your dog into the car seat and clip the DOOG Car Restraint (sold separately) to the nearest seatbelt buckle. Attach the other end to your dog’s harness. Alternatively, use the built-in tether strap provided with the Car Seat.

4. Double-Check Stability
Ensure the Car Seat is securely fastened and your dog is safely restrained before hitting the road.

Awesome seat.
Fits perfectly in the front seat. The wall of the seat acts as a booster for puppy to use as a stand to look out. This protect the car door handle from being damaged by puppy claws. Lots of room for 2.6kg cavoodle to lie down in and the restraint is long enough to sit up. Great idea with the useful pocket for the lead etc. Love the sturdy fabric and structure and adore the colour. Thoroughly recommend.

Keeps them safe, and keeps them comfortable
Purchased 2 x dog car seats. One for a puppy and one for a senior dog that has never been harnessed in the car before 🙁. But he loves it, despite the sudden restraint! He snuggles down and snoozes the minute we are in the car. The puppy is getting used to her car space, and I feel comforted knowing she is also in a safe comfy space during travel. I love that these can be used as beds also when we go on holidays. So versatile. Love the handy storage pocket for harness and leash. Only downside is the booster seat strap will not extend and fasten over the double seat in our SUV. But we have managed to secure it in other ways.

I love this car seat it is do well made and will be so safe for our puppy to travel in love the fact that it has the strap to go around the seat where we place it and also anchoring it to the head rest would definately recommend this product to anyone that wants their dog to travel in comfort and safety

Car Seat for my Cavoodle
The seat is well made and a great size for my toy Cavoodle. Others I've had have been too small for him to curl up in but he loves this DOOG one. High enough for him to see out too.
