How to Use the DOOG Dog Car Seat

1. Place the Car Seat in Your Vehicle
Position the DOOG Dog Car Seat on either the back seat or front passenger seat of your car.

2. Secure the Car Seat
Clip and tighten the strap at the base of the Car Seat around the back and base of your vehicle's seat. Then, clip and tighten the upper strap around the vehicle's headrest for extra stability.

3. Attach the Restraint
Pop your dog into the car seat and clip the DOOG Car Restraint (sold separately) to the nearest seatbelt buckle. Attach the other end to your dog’s harness. Alternatively, use the built-in tether strap provided with the Car Seat.

4. Double-Check Stability
Ensure the Car Seat is securely fastened and your dog is safely restrained before hitting the road.

Large car seat
The car seat is good but the bottom is a bit flimsy so I still need the hard bottom car seat cover I've got. I would also like the mattress to be thicker. The material is tough and good quality and being able to strap it in place is good. Overall I think it's the best I've found for the car.

A great bed for the car. Would have been five stars if...
We love this dog bed for the car seat. Our Labrador Bernice especially loves having something to rest her head on whilst we travel. The construction is fantastic quality and we would have given it five stars but for two small things that we hope will be fixed in newer models...
(1) Large dogs like ours, more often than not jump up into the car by themselves, and as this bed doesn't cover the entire back seat, it would be great to have a little flap or bib sewn into the sides that falls over the edge of the seat - something to protect the seat from scratches as the dog jumps up and into the bed.
(2) We spend a lot of time hiking and at the beach and we hoped this bed would contain the sand a bit more, but the velcro seatbelt holes always split open and so much dirt and sand falls through to the leather seats. The are completely unnecessary in this bed as no human is ever going to sit in it and need to plug a seatbelt in.
Overall we are really happy with it and highly recommend. We have it in the centre of the back seat but you could also have it covering two seats and easily fit a baby car seat or free up a spot for a third passenger. Highly recommend.

Best Dog Seat
I had tried several different brands of dog seats for my Frenchie and he could never get comfortable enough due to them being too small and he likes to stretch out in the car. We also needed to make sure he was latched in and safe and not able to reach the doors (his nails like to scratch). This has been the best purchase ever made, it doubles as his bed when we go to our shack and he loves it!
